TEXFAIR OF BRAZIL

2011 Edition

The event was visited by buyers from all Brazilian states and 31 other countries.

The Sintex Industries Union of Spinning, Weaving and Garments of Blumenau – celebrates the success of the 11th Texfair – International Textile Fair for Home – which took place between May 18th and 21st at Parque Vila Germanica, in Blumenau, SC. The fair presented launches of the spring / summer collections – 2010 / 2011 from 200 companies representing approximately 400 brands in the segments of bed, tablecoth, bath, curtain, carpet and decoration.

The event featured the visitation of 22,498 shop owners from all Brazilian States and 31 countries, including Germany, Angola, Saudi Arabia, Argentina, Bolivia, Cape Verde, Chile, China, Singapore, Equator, Spain, United States, Guatemala, Netherlands, Hong Kong, England, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Panama, Pakistan, Paraguay, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Syria, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey and Uruguay.

Creative, modern, clean and interactive stands drew public attention, highlighting the exhibition of products and concepts of collections and brands, highlighting the industry’s optimism.

According to president of Sintex, Ulrich Kuhn: "the 2010 edition of Texfair exceeded expectations, attesting the optimism in the domestic market". He added: "We were visited by a delegation led by the Chinese vice-chairman of the Chinese garments association, Yang Donghui, who praised the event very much. Moreover, the business roundtables promoted in partnership with FIESC were very helpful, as well as meetings of the exhibitors with international buyers brought by the ABIT program APEX-Brazil".

The Texfair 2010 had the support of Convention and Visitors Bureau of Blumenau and the Ministry of Tourism, partnerships that endorse the importance of the event for the region of Vale do Itajai.
